Google已开始提供网址缩址服务「goo.gl」，初期只透过FeedBurner、GoogleToorbar提供此服务。

GoogleURLShorteneratgoo.glisaservicethattakeslongURLsandsqueezesthemintofewercharacterstomakealinkthatiseasiertoshare,tweet,oremailtofriends.Thecoregoalsofthisserviceare:

Stability–ensuringthattheservicehasverygooduptime
Security–protectingusersfrommalwareandphishingpages
Speed–fastresolutionofshortURLs
GoogleURLShorteneriscurrentlyavailableforGoogleproductsandnotforbroaderconsumeruse.

TheGoogleprivacypolicyappliestotheGoogleURLShortener.PleasenotethatGooglemaychoosetopubliclydisplayaggregateandnon-personallyidentifiablestatisticsaboutparticularshortenedlinks,suchasthenumberofenduserclicks.
